Want to rank higher in Google? Roofing company guest post swap | EASY SEO

Hi everyone, my name is Mike and I run an SEO company which means I help businesses increase their rank in Google.

An effective way to rank a website in Google nowadays is to do 'guest posts'. Basically, what I do is create an article on someone else's website/blog with a link back to my client's roofing company website. This results in SEO page rank flowing from there website to mine.

So here's the plan: I create a guest post on my website to link to yours. You create a guest post on your website to link to mine.

RESULT: Both websites will get an increase in rankings. win/win.

Requirements:
  • Must be located OUTSIDE of the Tampa Bay area. We don't want to be competing for the same service location.
  • Must have a decent website. My client has a powerful roofing company website and we're looking to link with similar quality sites.

How do we get started?

So normally this task isn't a walk in the park. It takes research and the ability to write a 500+ word article relevant to the website.

However, I said EASY SEO in the title because I'm making this task easy for YOU.

I will write the articles for both websites. These articles will be over 500+ words of unique content targeting the roofing niche.

If interested please PM me your website to consider the link swap and ill do everything else.

PS: My website currently has 55 roofing keyword ranking on the first page of Google. That should tell you the quality of the site, so a backlink from my roofing site will be incredibly valuable to you.

Mike,

Thanks for posting this!

Sending you a PM. To anyone else reading this, I'd like to point out that 'relevancy' is a powerful ranking signal these days with Google.

I've done a lot of guest posting with 'competitor' sites that aren't really competitors because they are in a different geographic area.

Almost every time, it moves the needle for our targeted local keywords way better than most of the other link-building work we do.

Definitely hit Mike or me up for a guest post. I can also provide 500 word articles for your blog.

Yes, there is truth to the idea that guest posts from related sites with decent authority can and will boost your rankings in seo. Until the next update anyway. Or until G filters out the link as a paid link. Or, or, or...

The bigger issue I see is the use of tactics to win a small bump in rankings instead of a "strategic intent" to let Google and the world know that you are a serious business that is a key member in their community.

If you want to convince Google that your quality score means you are the best company for them to list in their (shrinking) organic listings, you don't want to do this, without it being a part of a plan to win the game, permanently.

I don't think you understood the point of this thread. This thread is not meant to sell guest posts to company's, its meant to trade quality posts with real roofing sites but different locations. These links are GOLD, I don't care what you say.

But just to respond to what you thought this was about. "meaning I'm here to just sell people guest posts", I'll give my insight on guest post backlinks.

#1 If your backlink profile consists of ONLY guest posts I can see how that could be a problem. Google may see you're trying to manipulate the rankings and you may get penalized.

#2 If your guest posting on a website where EVERY article is a guest post with money keywords for every anchor text then, yes, that will be penalization worthy.

But there is no way a high-quality guest post will ever cause you problems. Every highly ranked website does this, however, they may not call it a 'guest post' they will call it, 'outreach', 'promoting', 'editorials', etc..

Bottom line, if you don't know what you're doing, then yes, you may run into problems in the future. I've run an SEO company for 4-5 years now and never had a penalty because I don't get sketchy backlinks. If you're going to fiverr and typing in "home improvement guest post" your going to get trash.. Don't compare those easy to get guest posts with real ones.

PS: Let's hear some real tactics instead of vague information.. Whatcha got that's working for you?

I don't think we disagree all that much Mike. My point was that many roofers will follow your advice but not being sure of what else to do, they "try social media" or "do some blogging" or "make some videos". These are all tactics.

Tactics are fine as long as they are spokes in the wheel that is the strategy the business has for getting customers.

So two things that are working extremely well:

1) Long copy. Writing 2000 + words for pages like our roof replacement pages that take the consumer on a journey on how to buy a roof. When we increased the length on these pages our rankings jumped. I suspect because our TOS (time on site) was good/better and lots of internal links kept them onsite too.

2) Select automation. Many projects now include our unique approach to converting traffic including the CRM system and some automation to begin building a relationship with the buyer. People buy from people they like, right?

What else have you got?

Re: Want to rank higher in Google? Roofing company guest post swap | EASY SEO

1. I currently create 1,000 word, targeted content (roof repair + city) with various relevance signals attached to the page. Meaning (relevant custom video just for the page, maps of the city embedded, OBL's to relevant local websites, CTA's and Silo interlinking of pages), but to be honest with you these pages will not rank unless links are sent to it.

One of those pages you create, throw it in AHREFS and see how many keywords it ranks for. Probably not many. At least that's what issues I'm running into. High-quality links are still king.

2. I have my pages set up with an IFTTT syndication network. Meaning, when I publish an article/video it gets redistributed to multiple web 2.0 platforms that we control (blogger, tumblr, weebly, facebook, wordpress, twitter, and 10+ more).

I personally don't find these things working extremely well without backlinks. and my content is very good and informative. No big block text and it has lots of pictures with proper META/alt tags matching our target keywords.
