I got my first Harley in trade for a roof along with $ 4,000.00 besides that. I don't do it regularly, but if it would be something I really needed, then I would consider it.

Re: Is this a new business strategy?

Bartering is the oldest form of trade before currency was available. The government forwns on bartering because it's nearly impossible to tax. Years ago i was a member of a bartering network that was free... however nobody ever wanted to trade something I wanted in return and I decided that money is was I really wanted more than anything else. truth be told at this point I wouldn't be able to work for barter unless they were bartering to pay my bills or buy groceries.

This year alone i have traded for my web-site,work on my van and work to my garden , it seems to be the sign of the times but as Grumpy says its only worth doing if you need what they have to trade.
Cheers
Dave

I understand how big brother would frown,I have never wanted anything from anyone but cash since like it was written by Grumpy the grocery store probably has no need for the worn out old compressor in the corner of my shop.
