Re: Are lead generation sources worth it?

Slyfox none taken, 60% that's phenominal! Ok before someone jumps on me, again I do own a roofing company and an not trying to sell anything here. I do however enjoy marketing and feel I'm experienced at it. Ok the 9 out of 30 example u pose, this is how a legit company should handle these - expectations should be set and met of 2 of ten u can close first time, 3 will not pan out, 5 qualify but need nurturing! This is where the $$$ is at. A lead is not dead till follow-up is complete.

Also you would get charged for all 30 leads if ratios were met, you also would recieve credits on any lead that was "un-qualified" as thi is what you are refering to as bad leads. But to be un-qualified an agreement must be made up front as to what this is, and a experienced lead source should have thus figured out for you if they understand your business. So in your example let's say they charge $75 x 30 = $2250 , u close 9 and make $9-18k! But you forget, u can make referrals from them and turn 9 into 27! That's how you maximize a lead.

Sly I do want to know how you close 60%, my guys at best do 40, hard to find people with that type of talent. My personal ratio was very high, but I only sold 30-40 roofs, stuck managing more.

Thanks

L.

The majority of my business is word of mouth, thus I will assume my high sales ratio stems out of that.

Can't beat word of mouth. We've never had luck with the lead generation services.

Re: Are lead generation sources worth it?

We have done well with the repair leads we get from servicemagic.com other then that any other leads company and even reroof leads from SM where people looking for the cheapest price possible, and/or people just courious and not at all serious buyers.

We dont use any lead services, I won't even consider them (only repair leads from SM)

We are working on our web presence and direct mail instead, I think this is money much better spent.
