Re: Canvassing for Fun and Profit
Sorry for the delay... about a hundred...maybe a little more. I haven't been this site for quite some time. Glad to be back. Also ready for the Spring to set in, getting the urge to surpass last years remarkable year.
I want to add that the canvassing heavy in the same area that it is working well for you the job signs are also key, clean lettered trucks cannot hurt. This past Spring I had all ten red steel framed real estate style job signs in this one neighborhood. I was talking to a HO in front of her house when three ladies were doing there daily walk by when I overheard "I go home and look at my house wondering if I need to have a Ron Bryan sign in my yard". Yes, ego trip/ getting my point across rush of overwhelming success. |

Re: Canvassing for Fun and Profit
Here in the UK we cannot canvass Roofing like you can in the US. People here dont like "Storm Chasers" as its often "gypsys" doing the door chapping & many people have been robbed.
Its a lot more how shall we put it-less pushy here. I really do feel the US is the hub of the World when it comes to marketing & advertising. Europe lags behind. Im curious to see if any Ideas from the US to the UK would work & vice versa, but Im sure it would be more likely Ideas from the US would work best. Looking forwards to having a good read of the site & possible exchanging of Ideas. |

Re: Canvassing for Fun and Profit
I find the more subtle approach works best. I door knock, but the bullying customers isnt as well regarded anymore unless its the senior crowd. Scare tactics always get a bad response. We are not a one step close. Our close rates are great.
