Nathan, Ventilation And Building Envelope Forum Request

I think that an additional forum on Building Science regarding Ventilation, Tightly Sealed Buildings and Attics and Balanced Intake and Exhaust Ventilation should be a natural fit for this site.

I know you are out of town for 2-3 days, but please consider it.

Don't use the title, "Building Science" though, since that is one of JLC's Forum titles.

Does anyone else have an opinion on adding this topic as it's own forum for discussion?

Thanks,

Ed

Re: Nathan, Ventilation And Building Envelope Forum Request

I'm open to ideas like this. I don't want a huge list of forums on the homepage but if it's relevant and needed then lets add it.

Any other suggestions?

Just that one for now, since it is so unique and topical, but individually relevant.

I will only suggest something if it seems like it will add to the site, instead of dilute it's contents.

Alright, we just need a name and description and I can add it.

Ventilation
Discussion of Tightly Sealed Buildings, Attics, Balanced Intake and Exhaust Ventilation

Thoughts? I'm very open to suggestions on names and descriptions!

Re: Nathan, Ventilation And Building Envelope Forum Request

???

Title Line:
Ventilation Problems, Solutions And Theory

Secondary Description Line:
The Science Of The Entire Building Envelope Including Attics And Walls
Or
Heat And Vapor Transmissions In Enclosed Building Cavities, Attics, Walls And Crawl Spaces

I am up for suggesting tweaking the phrases and bouncing it around a bit.

I think you should change it to Ventilation and Insulation because the two go hand in hand. Also I would take out the word “Theory”. Contractors are not about theory they are about what works and what doesn’t work.

Actually I’m not sure that you need a sub section for Ventilation. As you can see it’s not getting much action, not too many people a clicking on that sub category.
