Company truck, to give or not to give?

Looking for some advice on this subject. My company is at a point where we are consistently doing several roofs a week. Currently, my guys work piece rate and provide their own vehicles and tools. The piece rate is supposed to give them enough money to afford own tools, vehicles and maintenance. Scenario is they do not maintain their vehicles properly for example tire blow outs and buying used tires, not getting alignments for proper tire wear etc. so I just bought one guy all brand new tires for his truck and 3 years worth of free alignments. My question is in order to control the maintenance, safety and appearance of the vehicle should I provide a company truck? At this point if the employee did something wrong and I had to fire him he's off with brand new tires and all the benefits of me maintaining his truck and I'm left with the bill and not getting the usage out of the maintenance I purchased. If I provide trucks do I make it company rule they drop off and pick up the truck daily? As opposed to saving time and just picking up the other workers on the way to the job and keeping truck at home?
